Boot Hill Cemetery is Cave Creek's oldest cemetery, where an estimated 31 of Cave Creek's first residents are buried in unmarked graves, including a young boy who died from scarlatina. Headstones have been stolen over time, which many believe leads to restless spirits. We will also investigate several suicides and murders which occurred close to the cemetery.(Cemetery is less than one mile away from trailhead. It's a flat hike and we stop for an additional investigation on the way to the cemetery)
